DANIEL TORLAKSON
San Francisco, California
Daniel Torlakson (b.2002) is a Bay Area photographer, drawn to the intimate, alternative, and theatrical. His work spans many genres, with portraiture at its center. He works across digital photography and analog processes. Since childhood, he has been surrounded by artists, punks, and oddballs. These influences taught Daniel to embrace absurdity and the unique strangeness of human identities.
When he isn’t making images, Daniel brings his passion for photography to the 6th on 7th Photography Workshop, a nonprofit supporting creative expression among military veterans and low-income adults. His work has been shown at a variety of local organization including Sanchez Art Center, Harvey Milk Photo Center, and Ocean Avenue Association.
